Forum addresses importance of FinTech, AI in future careers

A forum for future skills and careers has brought together Labor and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, labor market experts, representatives from the private sector and training institutes, university students and job seekers.

 

The minister stressed that the forum seeks to identify and discuss the reality of future professions in Bahrain in financial technology (FinTech), artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable energy as well as labor market trends and expected jobs in the near future.

 

Humaidan touched on the remarkable progress that the financial technology, artificial intelligence and sustainable energy sectors have achieved in Bahrain.

 

He pointed out to the high status that financial technology enjoys in Bahrain thanks mainly to the presence of many international companies and banks. Artificial intelligence has also achieved an advanced status in the Kingdom, he added.

 

The minister highlighted the positive effects of the agreement signed by the Nasser Vocational Training Center and the National Program for Artificial Intelligence in the United Arab Emirates, to enhance partnership in developing artificial intelligence skills, digital economy, and virtual education and training.
