Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, engaged in a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, to discuss pressing regional issues and bilateral relations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the dialogue between the two officials revolved around the enduring cooperative relationship between Bahrain and Pakistan, with a focus on enhancing collaboration in multiple sectors. A significant part of the discussion addressed the escalating regional tensions due to Iran's aggressive actions. The recent missile and drone attacks by Iran targeting Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council states have led to casualties and property damage, posing a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
The conversation also highlighted the importance of political and diplomatic collaboration between Bahrain and Pakistan on international platforms, particularly given their roles as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. Both ministers emphasized the necessity of sustained joint efforts to fortify regional security and maintain stability in light of the current threats.
