(BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call today from the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
They discussed strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and means to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. They affirmed the depth of historical friendship between the two countries and joint cooperation to enhance the security and stability of the region.
They also discussed the situation in the Middle East in light of the ongoing military escalation in the Palestinian territories and the State of Israel, and the international efforts being made to reduce tension and reach a permanent ceasefire between the Palestinian and Israeli sides. They stressed the importance of consolidating the pillars of security, stability and peace in the region.
The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of common concern.
