Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting underscored the longstanding relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, highlighting its continued development across various domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions centered on the latest regional developments, with a particular focus on the repercussions of the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The two sides exchanged views on the threats these attacks pose to regional security and stability.
Additionally, the meeting explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination on issues addressed by the United Nations Security Council. This cooperative spirit aims to bolster international efforts in maintaining peace and security in the region.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikha Al Anoud bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Chief of the European Affairs Sector, who contributed to the discussions on enhancing bilateral ties and regional security.
