Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the headquarters of the Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the friendly Republic of Nicaragua, Denis Moncada Colinders, on the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the two Ministers discussed relations between Bahrain and Nicaragua, and their development in all fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries in 1991, as well as ways to intensify efforts to promote bilateral cooperation, leading to broadening bilateral cooperation at all levels, in the service of common interests.

They also discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest and ways to advance the course of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Al-Ruwaie.
