Foreign Minister Meets Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Discuss Regional Security


Riyadh: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met in Riyadh with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The ministers reviewed the close and longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Jordan, and discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination across various fields in a manner that serves mutual interests.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also addressed the latest regional developments in light of the continued Iranian attacks on the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Arab countries. The ministers highlighted the serious implications these actions have for regional security and stability, including international maritime navigation. In this regard, both sides underscored the importance of halting the Iranian attacks against GCC member states and Jordan in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
