Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, commended the vital role of Bahraini youth in supporting national development, security, and diplomacy under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, marking Gulf Youth Day, Dr. Al Zayani affirmed Bahrain's commitment, during its current presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), to advancing joint Gulf youth initiatives, empowering young people, developing their abilities, and strengthening their contributions to peace, security, and sustainable development.
He highlighted Bahrain's leading initiatives in youth empowerment, including the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the Hope Network, and the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, which have reinforced Bahrain's role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and peace.
The minister also expressed pride in the contributions of young Bahraini diplomats and officials in advancing the Kingdom's foreign policy priorities and supporting Bahrain's participation in the United Nations Security Council during its 2026-2027 non-permanent membership.
He commended the solidarity and responsible engagement of Gulf youth in supporting the security and stability of GCC states, particularly against the blatant Iranian attacks, and reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to fostering a resilient and united youth front across the region.
