Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the International Human Rights Affairs Committee, emphasized Bahrain's strong commitment to humanitarian diplomacy under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This commitment is further supported by directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, focusing on international cooperation to promote justice, compassion, coexistence, and prosperity on a global scale.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani expressed pride in Bahrain's leadership in charitable initiatives, which are deeply rooted in the country's religious and humanitarian values. Marking the International Day of Charity, he highlighted the Kingdom's recognition of the link between solidarity, peace, stability, and sustainable development. Dr. Al Zayani also commended the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) for its role in assisting those in need and implementing relief projects worldwide. These efforts align with His Majesty the King's vision and are supported by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He detailed Bahrain's diplomatic and humanitarian contributions, including its support for educational and healthcare services during the "Bahrain Summit" at the 2024 Arab Summit and its commitment to the Gaza Strip's peace plan. Dr. Al Zayani noted Bahrain's initiatives in promoting peaceful coexistence, youth empowerment, women's leadership, and Sustainable Development Goals.
Dr. Al Zayani further elaborated on Bahrain's active involvement in the United Nations Security Council as a non-permanent member for the 2026-2027 term. The Kingdom's participation in regional and international organizations aims to enhance global peace and security, offer relief to those affected by disasters, and seek political solutions to protect civilians and uphold international laws.
He reaffirmed that Bahrain, under its leadership, will persist in leveraging its diplomatic and international partnerships to foster global peace, solidarity, and multilateral cooperation.
