Nicosia: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on the sidelines of the official ceremonies marking the Republic of Cyprus's assumption of the presidency of the Council of the European Union for the current term.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Ukraine, exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The discussion also covered regional and European developments, particularly the ongoing situation in Ukraine. Both parties stressed the importance of ending the war and reaching a political settlement through dialogue and diplomacy, contributing to international peace, security, and stability.
The meeting was attended by Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Cyprus, who is resident in Tel Aviv; Shaikha Al Anood bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Head of the European Affairs Sector; along with other members of the accompanying delegation.
