Manama: Under the directive of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, the first Gadeha Junior training camp for young people opened yesterday at Exhibition World Bahrain. The camp aims to provide a comprehensive training experience for youth, featuring both physical and mental challenges.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initial group of participants consists of 500 young individuals, selected from a total of 2,000 registrants. These participants are divided into three groups, each undergoing a series of challenges designed to enhance their skills in areas such as shooting, strength, tactical maneuvers, water activities, evacuation procedures, climbing, and logistics.
The camp also caters to younger children, aged two to nine, by offering a dedicated area equipped with challenge and play zones. This section is set in a safe and specially prepared environment to ensure the well-being of the young participants.
In addition to the training activities, the camp is equipped with several facilities including a military museum, a Gadeha shop, a Gadeha majlis, and a dining area. During the evenings, the camp opens its doors to citizens, residents, and visitors, providing an array of entertainment options such as wrestling demonstrations, musical performances, and a variety of Gadeha challenges suitable for different age groups.
The camp is set to continue its training and recreational programs over the coming weeks. These initiatives aim to develop young people's physical and mental abilities, promote discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance, while also offering an educational and recreational experience for families.
