Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, participated in a strategic meeting of European heads of mission accredited to Bahrain. The meeting, organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, aimed to explore economic and investment cooperation opportunities between Bahrain and the member states of the European Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting saw the participation of several resident and non-resident EU ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom. During the discussions, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa reiterated Bahrain's dedication to fostering sustainable economic growth through enhanced global economic partnerships. This commitment aligns with the Kingdom's comprehensive development strategy under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Finance Minister underscored Bahrain's aspiration to strengthen economic and investment ties with EU member states. This initiative is aimed at developing the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the EU, thereby supporting mutual interests and fostering deeper cooperation.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa shared insights into the growing trade and economic relations with the EU, which are supported by strategic partnerships, agreements, and cooperation frameworks. These have played a significant role in expanding economic and investment cooperation.
During the meeting, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa also reviewed Bahrain's key national economic indicators and the country's progress in achieving sustainable and resilient economic growth. He highlighted the robust nature of Bahrain's national economy and its ability to achieve development objectives, supported by a conducive legislative environment, advanced infrastructure, and a skilled workforce. These factors collectively enhance Bahrain's economic diversification and growth.
