Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, inaugurated PwC’s Regional Centre of Excellence. The event marked a significant milestone in Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to bolster its position as a hub for financial and economic innovation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the inauguration was attended by key figures including Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board; Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the President of the Court of the Crown Prince; and Maha Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing its investment environment and creating quality opportunities that support economic development and drive further progress. He expressed that these efforts align with the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He noted that Bahrain offers a competitive investment climate that encourages creativity and innovation, supported by highly qualified national talent, making it an attractive destination for leading global companies, particularly in financial and economic sectors. He said this aligns with Bahrain’s development goals and future aspirations.
The minister added that the expansion of international companies in Bahrain reflects growing confidence in the Kingdom’s investment environment and contributes to creating quality jobs for citizens, supporting national talent, and developing local skills in line with labour market needs and sustainable economic growth.
He also highlighted the vital role of the professional services sector, alongside other economic sectors, in supporting development efforts and diversifying income sources, enhancing Bahrain’s position as a leading regional and global financial centre.
