Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, held a meeting with Rt Hon Alderman Alastair King, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, accompanied by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting occurred during Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa's participation in the third Gulf Gateway Forum, an event under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. During the meeting, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa underscored the enduring relationship and strong strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in the fields of finance and the economy. He pointed out the increasing collaboration between the two nations, which facilitates joint coordination and aids in achieving common objectives.
The finance minister also stressed the mutual dedication to strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing partnership areas further, drawing on the countries' shared expertise, appealing investment environment, and robust foundations that bolster the financial and banking sectors.
The meeting covered several topics of mutual interest and explored potential investment opportunities for both the public and private sectors in Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
