Davos: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, during the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. The meeting included key attendees such as Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board; Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting took place as part of the participation of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), in the 2025 World Economic Forum. The discussions focused on the ongoing development of Bahrain-India relations, particularly in the realms of finance, economy, and investment. Both parties expressed their dedication to bolstering cooperation and coordination to fulfill shared goals and mutual interests.
The discussions between the Finance Minister and the Chief Minister revolved around strengthening Bahrain-India bilateral ties, exploring ways to enhance economic cooperation and partnerships, and identifying opportunities for promising investment prospects. They also shared insights on finance and economic matters of mutual interest and reviewed current global economic trends.
