Exciting Competition Marks Second Stage of Nasser Bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs

Manama: The fifth edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs continued with the second stage of the race, organised by the Bahrain Cycling Association in cooperation with Faalyat, with wide participation from cyclists representing Bahrain, GCC countries, and residents of the Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the second stage covered a distance of 65 kilometres and featured strong and competitive performances among participants. Ahmed Al Haj, Chairman of the Organising Committee, crowned the winners of the various categories.

In the Bahraini amateurs category, Saad Talal Al Saadi from the Bahrain Giant team secured first place, followed by his teammate Mohammed Hassan Jawad in second place, while Hassan Aqeel Thamer from the TriLife team finished third.

Abdulaziz Saleh Al Hamri won the yellow jersey sponsored by Bapco Energies for leading the overall standings in the Bahraini amateurs category. He also claimed the blue jersey for the under-23 category sponsored by Marassi Galleria. Mohammed Hassan Jawad won the red jersey for the highest points in the general classification sponsored by Beyond, while Aqeel Hassan took the green jersey for the over-40 category sponsored by Al Salam Bank.

In the category for GCC riders, Bahrain national team members, and residents, Saeed Hassan from the Dubai Police team won first place, followed by Hilal Jaber Al Harbi from the Victorious 1 team in second, and Majid Saeed Al Khatri from the Airworks team in third.

Hilal Jaber Al Harbi won the orange jersey sponsored by Bapco Energies for first place in the general classification, as well as the grey jersey sponsored by Beyond for the highest points scorer. David Bessey won the pink jersey for the over-40 category sponsored by Al Salam Bank, while Mahdi Hassan Jawad took the purple jersey for the under-23 category sponsored by Marassi Galleria.

The third stage is scheduled for Friday morning, covering a distance of 130 kilometres from Marassi Galleria to Al Jazayer Beach. This stage is one of the tour's highlights, showcasing the Kingdom's natural beauty and landmarks as participants pass through key urban, touristic, and historical areas that reflect Bahrain's rich heritage and modern development.
