Manama: Following the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to accelerate housing projects and provide 50,000 new housing units, and the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to commence the provision of 7,000 housing services, Abdulla Taleb, Director General of the Eskan Bank, said the bank is maintaining ongoing coordination with financing banks to expedite the disbursement of housing finance to beneficiaries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Taleb said the Eskan Bank, in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, is implementing the plan to provide housing services to citizens, including ownership services and housing finance programmes, through coordination with participating banks to begin disbursing financing under the "Tas'heel", "Tas'heel+", and the newly introduced "Mazaya" category.
He noted that the royal directives and the order of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister support expanding housing gains by providing immediate financing services that enable citizens to obtain suitable housing, while also strengthening partnerships with the private sector to support homeownership.
Taleb explained that the bank is proceeding with financing procedures in line with approved regulatory frameworks and in coordination with relevant entities to ensure the orderly disbursement of financing and its linkage to application readiness, facilitating beneficiaries' transition to actual utilisation of housing services.
The Director General added that coordination with participating commercial banks includes following up on application readiness and completing financing requirements, ensuring regular disbursement and effective integration among all concerned parties, and enhancing the efficiency of implementing the plan to deliver 7,000 housing services.
He emphasised that serving citizens remains a top priority for the Eskan Bank through simplifying procedures, clarifying available financing pathways, and providing guidance to beneficiaries on suitable options, to ensure transactions are completed smoothly and within approved timeframes.
