Bahrain international circuit: ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, hosted the third round of the 2025-2026 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship last week. The fourth round, the penultimate of the season, will take place this week from Tuesday to Friday, January 13-16, with strong competition expected.
According to Bahrain News Agency, four Bahrainis topped the podium during the third round. They were Mohsen Salman in the Outlaw 4-Cylinder category, Yusuf Alzayyani in the Outlaw 6-Cylinder, Mohammed Ebrahim in the Street Fight Bikes 9.5, and Yusuf Ahmed in the Pro Street Bikes category.
In the Outlaw 4-Cylinder, Salman won first place, beating Mahmood Saleh, while Ahmed Abdulrahim finished third. Yusuf Alzayyani won the Outlaw 6-Cylinder, narrowly defeating Ali Alkhunaizi in the final with a time of 4.288 seconds at 284.41kph, compared to Alkhunaizi’s 4.331 seconds at 265.65kph. Faisal Alarab finished third.
In the Street Fight Bikes 9.5, Mohammed Ebrahim won after defeating Saudi competitor Khalid Aldossari, while Khalifa Alshurooqi came third. Yusuf Ahmed also won the Pro Street Bikes category, beating Saudi racer Hassan Alouh, with Saudi Khalid Aldossary in third place.
Saudi racers also claimed several wins. Mohammed Albrahim won the 9.0 Index, ahead of the UAE’s Mohamed Idris, with Bahraini Raed Ali third. Nabeel Alessa won the Pro 29.5 V8, defeating Bahraini Nayef Janahi, while Mohamed Bahlool was third. Abdulrahman Alnajm won the 8.5 Index Bikes final against Kuwaiti Shehab Burabaa, with Bahraini Ali Bahram third. Jihad Aljamal won the Outlaw Bikes, beating Kuwaiti Saad Jumah, and Saudi Khalid Aldossary was third again.
Kuwaiti racers also triumphed. Yousef Alhuraibi won the 8.5 Index, ahead of Ahmad Zaman, with Salem Bowmashah third. Abdulrahman Bo Alwa won the 4.8 Index, with Bahraini Yousif Alkhamiri second and Saudi Saud Harakah third. The UAE’s Obaid Alblooshi won the Competition 4.5 category, beating Kuwaiti Mohammed Alfaras. Lebanese racer Ahmad Jamal won the 10.0 Index, ahead of Kuwaiti Raed Ali, with Bahraini Ahmed Matar third.
Following the races, the winners received their trophies during the podium ceremonies. The fourth round will begin with practice and preparation on Tuesday evening, 13 January, with qualifying sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, 14 and 15 January, and the races on Friday, 16 January.
