Deputy Prime Minister Engages with Omani Housing Official on Real Estate Cooperation

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Chairman of the Board of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), and Ali bin Salem Al Issaei, Registrar General and Acting Director General of Real Estate Development at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah affirmed that the strong ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, provide a solid basis for cooperation, serving shared goals, supporting common interests, and promoting development across multiple sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, particularly in the real estate development sector, reflects their shared commitment to learning from each other's experiences and exchanging insights that align with modern developments in market regulation and service enhancement. Such collaboration fosters a more attractive investment environment and supports the sustainability of future projects.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah noted that such visits offer an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and improve communication among specialists in the real estate and urban sectors. He also emphasised the importance of expanding coordination and joint efforts to support the development of future policies and plans, ensuring the real estate market is well-prepared to meet the needs of development and urban transformation in both countries.

For his part, Al Issaei commended Bahrain's advanced experience in developing regulatory frameworks for the real estate market through the effective role of the RERA, and affirmed Oman's keenness to expand cooperation and strengthen partnership in real estate development in ways that serve shared interests. He wished the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
