Deputy Prime Minister chairs Supreme Council for Development of Education and Training meeting

Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, chaired the Council’s virtual regular meeting.

 

HH Shaikh Mohammed affirmed the care received for education and training sector from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

The council discussed the latest developments on the “Skills Bahrain” project, which is the first integrated national initiative that works to set professional standards for practicing professions in Bahrain. It meets the growing need for manpower and skilled citizens in various sectors, which is implemented by Tamkeen in partnership with several governmental and private institutions concerned with education and training.

 

The meeting reviewed the latest updates on Al Hedaya Al Khalifiya University. The Education Minister gave a presentation on the latest developments on the university and the updated study programs that it will offer such as artificial intelligence (AI), Nanotechnology and renewable energy.
