Deputy Prime Minister Chairs 311th Meeting on Development Projects and Infrastructure

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the 311th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure. The committee expressed its wishes for the Kingdom's continued security, stability, and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee condemned the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom's territory, highlighting the attacks' violation of Bahrain's sovereignty and international law. The committee expressed appreciation for the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, and other authorities for their efforts in safeguarding the Kingdom.

The committee noted progress on the Muharraq Development Project, announcing the completion of 247 property acquisitions in its first phase. It also congratulated the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank for completing the first social housing financing transaction under the Government Land Development Programme.

The committee highlighted the significance of King Abdullah Medical City and anticipated its opening next year, following contract signings between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Arabian Gulf University. Additionally, the committee welcomed the launch of advanced digital government services by the Survey and Land Registration Bureau and the Supreme Council for Environment.

The committee reviewed the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Avenue Development Project, with construction scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year. The project aims to reduce journey times and improve traffic flow significantly.

Furthermore, the committee discussed proposals to enhance the wastewater sector's infrastructure and support livestock production projects in the Kingdom.
