Deputy Prime Minister Attends Saudi Embassy Reception Marking Founding Day Anniversary


Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, attended a reception and iftar banquet at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day. The reception was hosted by Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the reception was also attended by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with a number of ministers and senior officials. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and their continued development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reflecting the unity and cohesion between the two countries and their peoples.



The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the dedicated efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to enhance bilateral cooperation and advance the strategic partnership between both countries, particularly through the initiatives emerging from the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council.



He commended Saudi Arabia’s progress and developmental achievements across various sectors. He added that Saudi Arabia’s development builds on the foundations established three centuries ago by Imam Muhammad bin Saud, culminating in the unification and formation of the modern state under King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Faisal Al Saud.



Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah said Saudi Arabia represents the core of the region’s strategic architecture, commending its key role in safeguarding regional security and stability and its supportive positions towards Bahrain in all circumstances. The Deputy Prime Minister also commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts and leading role in serving Islam and Muslims, expressing appreciation for the care it gives to the Two Holy Mosques and Islamic holy sites, and for mobilising all resources to ensure the comfort of pilgrims.
