Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Meets Malaysian Prime Minister

Accra:His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, during his visit to Malaysia for the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was held as part of the attendance at the Grand Prix, which marks its 22nd edition and is hosted by Malaysia. The event has the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

During the meeting, Prince Salman conveyed greetings from His Majesty the King of Bahrain to Sultan Ibrahim, along with wishes for Malaysia's continued progress and prosperity. Similarly, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim conveyed Sultan Ibrahim's greetings to King Hamad, wishing Bahrain further growth and development.

Both leaders emphasized the strengthening relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia, supported by a commitment to deepen bilateral ties. Prince Salman highlighted the importance of enhancing relations and creating opportunities to meet shared aspirations and expressed gratitude for Malaysia's arrangements in hosting the Grand Prix.

Regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual interest, were also discussed. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for Prince Salman's commitment to advancing cooperation and supporting the continued progress of both nations.
