Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain-India: Pathways Towards Successful Commerce event convened business, judicial, and government leaders, as well as international guests, at the Ritz-Carlton, Kingdom of Bahrain. Hosted by the Council for International Dispute Resolution, the session highlighted the importance of cross-border trade, investment, and legal cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain, India, and the wider MENA region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme opened with remarks from Dr Pinky Anand, appointed as a judge of the newly launched Bahrain International Commercial Court. The Honourable Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Law and Justice of India, also delivered a keynote address recognising the significance of this forum for advancing India's presence in international legal circles and supporting business confidence abroad.
Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice Designate of India, addressed the evolving landscape of international dispute resolution and the growing ties between Indian and MENA legal systems. The closing remarks by Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary-General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution, reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to providing a trusted platform for businesses and legal practitioners to resolve complex commercial disputes, facilitating greater economic collaboration and legal innovation between both nations.
