Cold Weather and Strong Winds Forecasted in Bahrain from December 28

Manama: The Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain is set to experience cold weather conditions accompanied by northerly winds from December 28, 2025, to January 1, 2026.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the directorate has forecasted that winds will range from moderate to active, intensifying to strong on December 30 and 31. This surge in wind activity may result in blowing dust in certain areas and create unsettled sea conditions. Coastal wave heights are expected to span between one and three feet, while offshore waves could reach heights of three to six feet.

The anticipated wind patterns are likely to cause a drop in temperatures, with maximum temperatures forecasted to be between 17-19°C and minimum temperatures between 11-13°C. The felt temperatures are expected to be lower, especially at night and during early morning hours, due to the wind chill factor.

The directorate highlighted that these forecasted temperatures are below the average levels for January, where typical maximum temperatures are around 21°C and minimum temperatures stand at 15°C.

In light of these conditions, the Meteorological Directorate has advised the public, particularly those engaging in maritime activities, to remain cautious and stay updated with official bulletins and warnings disseminated through the directorate's various communication channels.
