Beijing: The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that China will take necessary measures in response to the latest threats from the United States to impose tariffs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lin Jian, the Ministry spokesperson, stated that China will continue to take firm measures to safeguard its legitimate right to development.
Lin further emphasized that China is prepared to fight till the end if the US insists on initiating a trade and tariff war, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
These developments follow a statement from US President Donald Trump, who threatened to raise tariffs on imports from China to more than 100 percent. This was in reaction to Beijing’s decision to impose ‘counter’ tariffs.
