Manama: The Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has disclosed that from the beginning of 2026 until April 15, the unit has handled 113 cases.
According to Bahrain News Agency, there has been a notable diversification in the types of reports received, highlighting the changing nature of digital offenses. This trend emphasizes the need for continuous development of response strategies and readiness to tackle these evolving challenges, adhering to top security and legal practices.
The unit remains committed to enhancing its preventive and awareness initiatives by conducting targeted campaigns, especially within educational settings. Efforts to raise community awareness about cyberspace dangers and preventive measures have been amplified.
