Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, recently attended the graduation ceremony for 56 male and female physical fitness trainers from various directorates of the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). The event marked the culmination of several sports training courses organised by the Police Sports Association.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Police highlighted the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for sports and athletes in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He emphasized the King's support for the sports sector, which has been instrumental in fostering continued development and enabling further achievements within the realm of sports.
Lt. Gen. Al Hassan expressed his gratitude towards His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his unwavering support of the sports sector. He acknowledged the Crown Prince's role in ensuring that Bahraini sports continue to succeed at both regional and international levels.
Additionally, the Chief of Police conveyed his appreciation for the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He noted the Minister's support for the Ministry's sports sector, including the allocation of resources to develop training plans and enhance the capabilities of the Police Sports Association's teams.
Lt. Gen. Al Hassan underscored the importance of ongoing development of athletes' capabilities and performance. He emphasized the value of enhancing their culture and general knowledge to cultivate qualified sports personnel capable of achieving advanced levels.
The courses completed by the trainers encompassed a wide array of sciences, theories, methods, and principles relevant to sports training. Topics included sports nutrition, sports training science, sports injuries, and warm-up techniques. Additionally, the courses addressed the duties and key roles of trainers, the qualities they should possess, and included a lecture on sports psychology and methods for efficiently handling emergency situations.
