HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), HE Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who presented His Royal Highness with the first edition of his book, “The History of Judiciary in Bahrain”, at Gudaibiya Palace.

 

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of documenting the Kingdom’s wide-ranging achievements, which acts as a point of reference for future generations.

 

The book presented to His Royal Highness follows the history of the Kingdom’s judiciary system since the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain in 1873 by Shaikh Ahmed Al-Fateh, until the second third of 2021, during HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s ongoing reign.

 

His Royal Highness extended his gratitude to HE Shaikh Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, commending HE’s efforts in documenting the Kingdom’s judicial legacy and achievements, which are a bedrock of the Kingdom’s sustainable development.

 

For his part, HE Shaikh Abdulrahman Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, highlighting His Royal Highness’s unwavering support to the documentation of the Kingdom’s substantial achievements. HE Shaikh Abdulrahman noted the Kingdom’s fair, independent, and transparent judicial system is considered one of the most advanced judicial systems within the region.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.

HM King congratulated by Speaker on opening new parliamentary session

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a cable from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.

 

The Speaker extended deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for opening the fourth session of the Fifth Legislative Term of the National Assembly.

 

She asserted that HM the King’s opening of the new session has had a good impact on everyone, noting that the royal directives are a roadmap for continuing the national action, and achieving HM’s aspirations for better serving the nation and the citizens.

 

She affirmed that HM King Hamad’s constant support for the Council of Representatives, out of his strong belief in the democratic principles and basics, will be a catalyst for lawmakers to continue serving the kingdom and its loyal people, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless HM the King with abundant health and happiness, as well as to guide him on the right path.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by Chairman of the Shura Council

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Chairman of the Shura Council, HE Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, on the occasion of the inauguration of the fourth session of the fifth legislative term of the National Assembly.

 

HE Al-Saleh extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s presence at the ceremony. HE Al-Saleh noted the Shura Council’s commitment to building on the successes and national accomplishments attained under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

 

HE Al-Saleh commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s continued support of the Shura Council, as well as in strengthening Executive-Legislative cooperation and coordination in order to enhance Bahrain’s democratic process.

 

The Shura Council Chairman noted that the government’s support for the Legislative Authority confirms HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s appreciation of all the dedicated efforts of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives to serve the kingdom and consolidate democratic principles, in line with the government’s initiatives to improve cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to achieve the aspirations of the Bahraini citizens.

Al-Saleh extended, on behalf of all Shura Council members, deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for opening the fourth session of the Fifth Legislative Term of the National Assembly.

 

He valued highly the authentic patriotic values embedded in the royal keynote address, expressing confidence that under HM the King’s wise leadership, the interests of the kingdom and its people will be achieved and the democratic process will develop further.

 

The Shura Chairman renewed allegiance and loyalty to HM the King, as well as unwavering support for the reform march led by HM King Hamad to attain more progress and prosperity, as well as strengthen the pillars of security and stability.

HM King’s keynote speech roadmap for present, future national action: Speaker

Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has extended sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for opening the fourth session of the Fifth Legislative Term.

 

She lauded the royal keynote speech, affirming that HM the King’s directives support further national action and achievements, through fruitful Executive-Legislature cooperation.

 

The Speaker also extended appreciation and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for HRH’s constant directives to enhance cooperation between the Council of Representatives and the government, as well as to work together to achieve the royal aspirations for serving the nation and the citizens.

 

She asserted that HM the King’s comprehensive and all-inclusive speech represents a roadmap for present and future national action, noting that it requires the concerted tangible efforts of everyone in order to protect the top interests of the nation, and those of the citizens.

 

She indicated that the landmark achievements attained thanks to the royal care, as well as the efforts of Team Bahrain, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, are a catalyst for more determination to support all development fields and economic recovery, to achieve the goals of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, support the government’s efforts to achieve fiscal balance and self-sufficiency, develop the environmental and climate-related legislative system and support issues related to youth and women advancement.

 

She pledged that the Representatives Council will give top priority to implementing HM the King’s directives regarding support for production, service and economic sectors, noting that the atmosphere of consensus, tranquility and love prevails in the one-family Bahraini society thanks to HM the King’s care.

 

She praised the kingdom’s strides in the fields of alternative sentencing and human rights, based on HM the King’s care for the citizens, family and society, noting that the Representatives Council will back all efforts and initiatives through its legislative role and parliamentary diplomacy.

 

She praised the kingdom’s firm diplomatic approach emanating from the royal vision, which is based on good neighbourliness and mutual respect with everyone, as well as following up on the developments regarding the deliberate targeting of the territorial waters of the Arabian Gulf, which poses a threat to the security of this vital region and international navigation, in addition to the kingdom’s coordination with various international parties in order to combat terrorism and enhance joint GCC and Arab actions.

 

The Speaker expressed deep pride in HM the King’s praise of the dedicated efforts of the National Assembly and its positive cooperation with the government, as well as the role of parliamentary diplomacy in highlighting the kingdom’s development achievements and democratic process.

 

She also commended the tremendous efforts and the sacrifices of the kingdom’s armed forces and security authorities, stressing their role in protecting the nation’s capabilities and gains.

 

She pledged that the Representatives Council will continue its contributions to the nation-building process, in cooperation with all authorities, partners and the Bahraini society, to implement the royal directives and continue Bahrain’s success stories.
