Manama: Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), emphasized the significance of Bahraini Women's Day as a national occasion that underscores women's achievements across various fields. She highlighted that these accomplishments are a testament to the ongoing support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This support has been instrumental in enhancing women's roles as active partners in shaping Bahrain's present and future.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Buhiji commended the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Consort of His Majesty the King. The SCW's strategies and initiatives have bolstered women's status and promoted equal opportunities in both public and private sectors.
Speaking at the BTEA's event for Bahraini Women's Day, Buhiji noted that the Authority serves as a model for promoting equal opportunities. She remarked that every female employee at the BTEA exemplifies an inspiring success story, contributing to national objectives and aiding progress in the tourism sector. Women constitute more than 50% of the Authority's workforce, and the BTEA remains committed to supporting women and furthering their professional development through all its initiatives and strategic projects.
