BOC Participates in GCC Olympic Committee Executive Board Meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait City: The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) took part in the 100th Executive Board Meeting of the GCC National Olympic Committee Presidents, which was hosted in Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the BOC's delegation was led by Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, a Member of the Board of Directors. The meeting addressed several key topics, including the report from the Oman Olympic Committee regarding the hosting of the Third GCC Beach Games in Muscat in 2025, scheduled for April 5 to 11. The report also included the approval of the event's official logo.

The discussions further delved into challenges encountered in multi-sport events, prompting the Planning, Coordination, and Follow-up Committee to work on resolving these issues in collaboration with advisory committees. Additionally, a request from the Kuwait Olympic Committee to host the Second Gulf Youth Games in 2028 received approval, contingent upon endorsement by the GCC Olympic Committee Heads.

The meeting also focused on the review of the draft unified statute for GCC sports federations. In line with the strategy for boosting joint sports cooperation, approval was granted for organizing a conference on sports law and management.
