Manama: The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) held a training course focused on the use of artificial intelligence in constituency analysis. The course was delivered by Dr. Jassim Haji, Executive Advisor for AI and Data Analysis at the Nasser Center for Science and Technology (NCST), and marked the conclusion of the candidacy preparation stage of the National Programme for Parliamentary and Municipal Elections, known as "Darrib".
According to Bahrain News Agency, the training course concentrated on how AI can be used to analyse constituency data, predict voter behaviour, and generate insights that are valuable for electoral decision-making. The course also highlighted the significance of data and AI applications in campaign content, as well as detecting misinformation and enhancing transparency and integrity in the electoral process.
Participants in the course received practical guidance on the use of AI tools and large language models. These tools are essential for summarising, drafting messages, and analysing electoral data effectively. The training is part of the "Darrib" programme, which aims to equip candidates and electoral teams with the necessary skills, promote transparency, and strengthen their understanding of legal, political, and media processes involved in Bahrain's elections.
