BIC to Host Final Round of 2024/2025 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship This Week

Manama: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), known as 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', is set to host the concluding round of the 2024/2025 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship this week. The event, anticipated to be a grand finale, promises a thrilling end to the region's most popular drag racing series. According to Bahrain News Agency, the BIC will welcome competitors from across the globe to its premier quarter-mile drag strip for four nights filled with intense racing action. The event is organized in collaboration with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Bahrain Drag Racing Commission, and the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission. The first two nights, March 11-12, are designated for Test and Tune sessions, running from 7.30pm to 1.30am. Qualifying rounds are scheduled for Thursday evening, followed by the main races on Friday, starting at 7.30pm. Fans can witness the action from the Startline Grandstand and the Beyon Grandstand. Tickets are priced at BD5 for the Startline Grandstand on qualifying and race days. Tickets for the Test and Tune sessions along Beyon Grandstand cost BD2 each, while access to qualifying and race days is BD3 per person. Tickets are available online, via the BIC Hotline, or at the venue's gate. The championship is sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) based in the U.S., and winners will be awarded the prestigious Wally trophy. The competition spans 14 categories for cars and motorbikes, including Index 7.5, Pro 29.5 V8, Pro Street Bike, and Outlaw Bike, among others. Additionally, attendees can experience the Dragster Experience, offering a high-speed thrill, taking passengers from zero to 100kph in one second in a 10,500cc Top Dragster.
