BIBF’s Advanced Diploma in Islamic Finance Achieves Revalidation at NQF Level 9

Manama: The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has announced the successful revalidation of its Advanced Diploma in Islamic Finance (ADIF), which will remain placed at Level 9 on Bahrain's National Qualifications Framework for a further five years. The result confirms the quality of the qualification and its continued role in developing the skilled professionals needed by Bahrain's Islamic banking and finance sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the placement at Level 9 puts the diploma among the highest-level professional qualifications recognised under Bahrain's National Qualifications Framework, reflecting the advanced knowledge and practical skills it provides to professionals working in the sector. Since its launch in 2013, the programme has trained around 1,000 employees of Islamic financial institutions in Bahrain, supporting the development of specialised talent and meeting the needs of the industry.

The programme is designed for professionals working in Islamic financial institutions, new entrants to the sector, and those seeking to develop their careers in Islamic banking and finance. It provides specialised knowledge and practical skills that can be applied in the workplace. Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh, BIBF Chief Executive Officer, expressed pride in offering industry-aligned qualifications such as the ADIF, highlighting its role in developing talent in Bahrain and internationally.

Dr Al Shaikh also noted that the revalidation reflects the qualification's continued quality, relevance, and value to the industry.
