Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems have successfully countered multiple waves of hostile terrorist aggression from Iran. Since the beginning of these hostilities, the BDF has intercepted and destroyed 134 ballistic missiles and 238 drones aimed at the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command expressed its pride in the combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by BDF personnel. The command commended their operational effectiveness in safeguarding the Kingdom, reinforcing confidence that Bahrain's airspace remains secure.

The General Command advised the public to exercise caution for their safety. It urged citizens and residents to stay clear of affected areas and avoid suspicious objects. The public is also advised against filming or photographing military operations or debris sites, spreading unverified information, and to rely on official and government media channels for updates and advisories.

The General Command highlighted that targeting civilian areas and private property with ballistic missiles and drones is a violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. These actions pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
