Aichi-Nagoya:Bahrain: Bahrain's performance at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya has been impressive, with the nation now boasting a total of 13 medals. This includes eight gold, two silver, and three bronze medals, propelling Bahrain to seventh place in the overall standings and securing its position as the leading Arab nation in the competition.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom added two more medals on Sunday. Winfred Yavi secured a gold medal in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 9:04.36. Meanwhile, weightlifter Ingrid Grosso earned a bronze medal in the women's 69kg event, further contributing to Bahrain's standing among the top nations.
In other events, Edidiong placed fifth in the women's 200m final with a time of 23.41 seconds. Bahrain's women's team also qualified for the 4x100m relay final, recording a time of 44.42 seconds in the heats.
In the men's category, Bahrain finished sixth in the 4x100m relay heats with a time of 40.03 seconds. Additionally, Ahmed Mahmoud finished 12th in the high jump, clearing a height of 2.05 meters.
