Bahraini Newspapers Focus on Recent Royal and Government Activities


Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several significant events and announcements that took place over the past 24 hours. The primary focus was on the royal engagements and government activities, especially the designation of 2026 as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer.”

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King received His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, marking the designation of the year 2026 as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer.” This announcement has been met with commendations from senior royals and officials, including HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim and HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also met with private sector sponsors for the Celebrate Bahrain events, further reinforcing the significance of the upcoming commemorative year.

The King also held a meeting with the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. The Foreign Minister of Bahrain received the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and participated
in the 2026 Diplomatic Forum, which was inaugurated by the Foreign Minister. This forum included a discussion panel featuring the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister, emphasizing the collaborative relationship between Bahrain and Jordan.

In other developments, the Education Minister inaugurated a new building at Talent International and Infant School, and the Speaker received the Chief of Staff of the Azerbaijani Parliament. Additionally, the Youth Ministry launched the Exceptional Media Professional initiative to honor young media talents, and the Industry Ministry, in collaboration with BCCI, conducted the 49th Joint Economic Committee meeting.

Furthermore, the Royal Bahraini Air Force concluded its participation in the Gulf Shield Exercise 2026, underscoring Bahrain’s commitment to regional security and defense cooperation.
