Bahraini Leadership Engages in Diplomatic and Domestic Initiatives

Manama: Bahraini newspapers today highlighted a series of significant events involving the nation's leadership over the past 24 hours. The activities included diplomatic engagements, national meetings, and cultural events.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King departed Bahrain for a private visit to Egypt, where he has since arrived. During this period, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was active in several capacities, notably by chairing a meeting of the Supreme Commission for the Royal Fund for Strategic Projects (RFFS) and meeting with its sponsors. In addition, HRH issued Edict (77) of 2025 and a circular regarding public holidays for the National Day.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended congratulations to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, aligning with similar sentiments expressed by HM the King. Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief inspected a Bahrain Defence Force unit, ensuring readiness and operational efficacy.

Diplomatic activities continued with the Deputy Prime Minister receiving GCC officials for the Mara'ee 2025 event, and the Interior Minister holding separate meetings with the French Ambassador and the Azerbaijani Chief of State Border Service. The Foreign Minister also received the Spanish Ambassador, commending the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) for its contributions to Bahrain's democratic journey and affirming Bahrain's commitment to human rights.

In cultural and educational developments, the Information Minister attended the Bridge Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi, where a meeting with the UAE National Media Office Chairman took place. The Education Minister met with the team overseeing the national teacher training programme, while the Youth Affairs Minister honored winners of a watch design competition.

Parliamentary leaders, including the Speaker and Shura Chairman, emphasized Bahrain's dedication to human rights and congratulated the BIPD on its 20th anniversary. Bahrain's participation in the 6th UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Judicial Summit underscored its commitment to international legal discourse.

Finally, the Bahrain Coffee Festival 2025 launched, featuring over 100 brands, marking a significant cultural event in the Kingdom. The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) announced an enhanced feature for its Virtual Customer Service Center, showcasing advancements in digital services.
