Beirut: Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Lebanese Republic, residing in Damascus, participated in the 21st Arab Media Forum in Beirut. The event was themed "Media and Sustainable Development: Partners of the Present - Alliance of the Future" and was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum saw the participation of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, and Dr. Paul Morcos, Minister of Information of Lebanon. The discussions centered on the future of the Arab media landscape, addressing key issues such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital media, and development.
The event featured the screening of a documentary film, along with cultural and artistic segments, and concluded with the recognition of several Arab and Lebanese media professionals for their contributions to journalism and support of the forum's objectives over the years. The two-day forum included panel discussions that emphasized the role of media in promoting development.
