Manama: In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the University of Bahrain announced the renaming of the Bahrain Teachers College to the Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari College for Teachers. This renaming recognizes Dr. Al Ansari's significant intellectual and cultural role at both national and Arab levels, along with his contributions across various fields of knowledge.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, expressed pride and appreciation for the royal directive. He emphasized the importance of the college in graduating teachers who play a crucial role in educating future generations. Dr. Al Ansari, a former lecturer at the Higher Institute for Teachers in the 1960s, is noted as one of the most influential Arab intellectuals.
The Minister also extended gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his role in establishing the college as a leading educational development project. The college is now recognized for its quality in teacher preparation and training at both local and international levels.
