Manama: Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), received Dr. Ayse Hilal Sayan Koytak, Ambassador of the Republic of Trkiye to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss means to enhance bilateral cooperation in the space sector and explore partnership opportunities in areas of common scientific and technological interest.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in space science and technology, including innovation, knowledge exchange, and future collaboration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Trkiye.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between specialised research institutions in the two countries to support scientific research, knowledge exchange, and the development of national capabilities, in line with the aspirations of both countries to build knowledge and innovation-based economies.
Dr. Al Aseeri emphasised the agency's commitment to building international partnerships that support knowledge transfer, strengthen national capabilities, and expand cooperation in the space sector in line with the agency's strategic objectives.
The Turkish Ambassador commended the Kingdom of Bahrain's progress in the space sector and emphasised the importance of continuing coordination and enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions in the two countries.
