Bahrain Space Agency Board Reviews Progress and Future Initiatives

Manama:The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) board convened for its third regular meeting of the year, presided over by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali praised the agency for its vital role in advancing the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He acknowledged the notable progress made by the BSA in various areas over the past three months and expressed gratitude for the executive management and staff's dedication to achieving the agency's strategic goals. Their efforts align with the annual business plan and effectively represent Bahrain at regional and international events, supporting the aspirations of His Majesty the King and directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

During the meeting, the board received updates on the progress of the agency's projects, examining various initiatives and their completion rates as measured against approved performance indicators. Discussions included proposals for new initiatives and reviews of key events where the BSA represented Bahrain, emphasizing efforts to enhance international presence and collaboration with global space organizations.

The board also assessed the implementation of decisions and recommendations to ensure continuity in institutional work, highlighting a commitment to governance and transparency. Discussions on future projects and initiatives outlined a vision for the national space sector's development, contributing to Bahrain's standing among leading countries globally.

These initiatives form part of the agency's strategic plan for 2024-2028, focusing on infrastructure development, capacity building, and strengthening Bahrain's role in the space sector.
