Geneva: Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organisations in Geneva, met with Volker Trk, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, on the occasion of his assumption of office. Ambassador Abdulla offered congratulations and best wishes to Trk, highlighting the work of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in addressing the needs of refugees and displaced persons and providing protection and assistance to vulnerable groups.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion reviewed the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and UNHCR. The meeting emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination in support of international humanitarian efforts.
