Cairo: Ibtisam Mohamed Saleh Al Dalal, a member of the Services Committee at the Shura Council and the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament, took part in the Economic and Financial Committee meeting of the Arab Parliament at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting addressed several key topics, including the Arab Parliament's final financial report for 2024, financial contributions from member states, initiatives supporting the blue economy in Arab countries, and strategies to enhance cooperation with regional and international economic institutions.
Al Dalal emphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain remains committed to supporting Arab efforts for economic integration and fostering an environment conducive to joint investment among Arab states. She asserted that these initiatives align with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, contributing to sustainable development and improving living standards for Arab citizens.
She further stated that the Shura Council's involvement in the Arab Parliament meetings underscores the legislative authority's dedication to advancing joint Arab parliamentary work, sharing expertise in legislation and financial oversight, and coordinating Arab positions on global economic issues. Al Dalal highlighted the necessity of uniting parliamentary efforts to achieve Arab food and water security, diversify income sources, and stimulate the digital economy, in accordance with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.
Al Dalal also praised the significant contribution of Bahraini and Arab women in economic development and entrepreneurship. She recognized the substantial support Bahraini women receive from the leadership of HM the King and the initiatives overseen by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibraheem Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. These national programmes and initiatives have bolstered women's roles in the workforce and economy.
She noted that these efforts align with national initiatives aimed at providing three job opportunities for every job seeker, reflecting the government's dedication to enhancing sustainable development paths and empowering national talents across sectors.
Al Dalal concluded by stating that the Arab Parliament is a vital platform for fostering cooperation and integration among Arab nations. She expressed her pride in representing Bahrain on the committee and her commitment to working alongside Arab representatives to serve mutual interests and promote the prosperity and stability of the region.
