Bahrain Participates in 49th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders


Tunis: Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Deputy Chief of Public Security, led the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to the 49th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, held in Tunisia. The conference focused on reviewing the outcomes of the previous gathering and discussing various strategic approaches to enhance regional security efforts.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference reviewed the outcomes of implementing the recommendations of the 48th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders. It addressed ways to strengthen Arab efforts to combat drugs, enhance awareness, and improve preventive measures against the dangers of drug-related issues. The meeting emphasized the need to intensify cooperation, coordination, and information exchange among Arab states to confront this ongoing threat effectively.



Additionally, the conference discussed advancing the capacities of relevant agencies in Arab states. This included deliberations on how to better equip these agencies to handle the challenges posed by drug-related crimes and improve their overall effectiveness in maintaining security across the region.
