Doha: The Kingdom of Bahrain's parliamentary division delegation, led by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloum, Vice-President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) and head of the delegation, actively participated in the Executive Council meeting of the APA in Doha. The meeting took place within the framework of the Assembly's Standing Committee on Budget and Planning.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Executive Council addressed multiple agenda items, including the 20th anniversary of the Assembly, a proposal to establish affiliated centers and institutions, the APA Award for Cultural Excellence and Parliamentary Leadership, and the promotion of values of diversity, unity, and shared principles across Asia.
The delegation emphasized Bahrain's participation as a reflection of its continuous support for the Assembly's efforts and its commitment to contributing to institutional development, transparency, and financial discipline to enhance the Assembly's parliamentary role in Asia.
This engagement is part of the Kingdom's initiatives to maintain an active role in regional and international parliamentary forums and to reinforce Bahrain's status as a dependable partner in promoting sustainable development and Asian parliamentary cooperation.
