Bahrain International Trophy’s Group 1 Status Elevates Kingdom’s Horseracing Prestige

Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, announced that the elevation of the Bahrain International Trophy to the Group 1 classification in horseracing marks a historic achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain. This accomplishment not only bolsters Bahrain's global standing in equestrianism and horseracing but also underscores the Kingdom's expanding international influence and reputation in a sport deeply rooted in its cultural heritage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi credited this success to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has positioned Bahrain as a premier international destination for equestrian sports. The Minister also acknowledged the contributions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose directives have led to significant advancements in the Kingdom's status in equestrian sport and horseracing.

Dr. Al Noaimi further emphasized that the promotion of the Bahrain International Trophy to Group 1 status is a testament to the visionary leadership of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. As the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, His Highness has been instrumental in guiding the race's development and securing its position among the world's top international horseraces.
