Bahrain Hosts ‘Bahrain Shield’ Joint Military Exercise with GCC Participation

Manama: The "Bahrain Shield" joint exercise commenced today with the participation of the armed forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to enhance joint military cooperation, exchange expertise, and evaluate joint military operational systems.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the exercise features joint operational scenarios and integrated field military drills aimed at enhancing command-and-control systems, developing joint military capabilities, and raising the combat readiness of all participating forces to address all threats. It also seeks to reinforce the concepts of joint Gulf defence and effective deterrence, and strengthen joint military and defence cooperation among the armed forces of the GCC member states, contributing to regional security and stability.
