Manama: The Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Vice-President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), took part in the 16th APA Plenary Session. The session was hosted by Bahrain under the theme "The Role of Asian Parliaments in Promoting Dialogue among Civilisations and Cultures in Asia: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Pathways."
According to Bahrain News Agency, the session saw heads of Gulf and Asian legislative councils and participating delegations underscore the significance of Asian parliamentary cooperation. They highlighted the necessity of adopting legislation that fosters dialogue among cultures and civilisations to build a future grounded in understanding, peace, and sustainable human partnership. The participants also praised Bahrain for its successful hosting of the Assembly and its proactive role in enhancing joint parliamentary action.
