Bahrain Handball Team Falls to Kuwait, Faces China for Bronze

Manama: Bahraini teams continued competing in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain until October 31 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The national youth handball team lost 23-21 to Kuwait in the semi-final and will play China for the bronze medal.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in swimming, Ali Hussain and Talal Hassan recorded strong times in the 100m freestyle, while Lamar Hussain and other Bahraini swimmers participated across several events. In badminton, Sayed Hasan lost to Hong Kong and Fatima Sayed Ihsan to Thailand. In weightlifting, Zainab Mahmood finished seventh in the 53kg event. In wrestling, Saood Ibrahim lost to his Tajik opponent in the 51kg category.
