Bahrain Giant and Victorious 1 Triumph at Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs

Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the fifth edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs concluded with strong competition and high sporting spirit. The event was organized by the Bahrain Cycling Association and Faalyat Company.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the success of the tour reflects HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's efforts to support Bahraini sport and promote community participation. It also highlighted Bahrain's growing reputation as a host of major sporting events, with significant local and international participation.

The final day turned into a cycling festival featuring races for men, women, people with determination, and children. Ahmed Al Haj, Head of the Organizing Committee, and Sayed Shubber Hilal Al Wedaei, Secretary General of the Bahrain Cycling Association, awarded the champions, joined by representatives from sponsoring companies: Ahmed Adel Al Hamad from Bapco Energies, Abdulla Al Jalal from Bank Al Salam, and Waleed Ali from Binane Bahrain.

Cyclist Mohammed Hassan Jawad won in the Bahraini category, while Hilal Jaber Al Harbi claimed the Gulf category title. In the team events, Bahrain Giant team finished first among Bahraini teams, followed by Victorious 1 team in second and TriLife team in third. Victorious 1 won the Gulf team title, ahead of Rabdan team in second and Torque team in third.

Hassan Aqeel Thamer won the fourth stage in the Bahraini category, followed by Saad Talal Al Saadi and Mohammed Hassan Jawad. Mohammed Hassan Jawad also claimed the yellow jersey for the overall leader sponsored by Bapco Energies and the blue jersey for the Under-23 category sponsored by Binaa Al Bahrain. Hassan Thamer won the red jersey for the highest points sponsored by Beyon, while Aqeel Thamer took the green jersey for the Over-40 category sponsored by Al Salam Bank.

In the Gulf and Bahrain national team and resident race of the fourth stage, Saeed Hassan Safar from Dubai Police Team took first place, Adel Abdulbaqi from Al Wathba finished second, and Hilal Jaber Al Harbi from Victorious 1 came third. Hilal Al Harbi received the orange jersey for the overall leader sponsored by Bapco Energies, Saeed Hassan Safar the grey jersey for highest points sponsored by Beyon, David Bliss the pink jersey for the Over-40 category sponsored by Al Salam Bank, and Mahdi Jawad the purple jersey for the Under-23 category sponsored by Binaa Al Bahrain.

In the women's 40 km race, Fatima Hussain won first place in the Bahraini category, followed by Zainab Karam and Nazla Mandeel. In the expatriate category, Cassie Pittman took first place, ahead of Olga Gurfat and Lea Natividad Leva. In the 10 km wheelchair race, Nassar Ali finished first, followed by Mousa Al Sayigh and Ahmed Nader.

The event also featured a series of youth races covering several age groups, attracting wide participation and showcasing enthusiasm and talent across all categories.
